Emporia Plaza is a community-based e-commerce brand from PT Adhikari Suryatama Darmawangsa.
Composed of two words, Emporia Plaza describes “Emporia” or “Emporium” as the largest river pier owned by the Roman empire. Serves as a place for ships to dock, warehousing, and distribution centers. While the "Plaza" has the same function as the Forum Romanum and Agora, as a gathering place or "assembly" and is a cultural centre, an arena for matches, commerce, religion, and social life.
True to its definition and inspired by former glory, Emporia Plaza describes its birthplace in Kediri as the city of "Bandar" or river pier and “Pujangga” or poets. It is crossed by the Brantas river as a vital transportation route in Java. Kediri became one of the trading cities with the main production of agricultural products (food and plantation for the industry). As the former centre of the Kediri kingdom. This city has produced various famous literary works such as Mpu Tantular's Batharayudha to Mpu Monaguna's Smaradhana.
